Carbohydrates
Do you know what are carbohydrates?
Carbohydrates, also known as carbs, are found in grains, whole wheat bread, pasta, rice and potatoes ( they contain lots of them).
Carbohydrates are broken down into 3 types – starches, fibre and sugar.

Grains

Grains are the staple food of our diet.

Fruits & Vegetables

Fruits are filled with vitamins. A list of vitamins and their uses can be found here

Remember to eat your fruits and veggies everyday!

Meat & Fish

Meat contains proteins, which help to repair damaged or dead cells.

So remember to include meat and fish as part of your daily meals!

However, you should not eat too much meat as they contain fats, which if taken too much, is bad for health.

Fish are an excellent source of protein, and are also low in calories.

Fats & Sweets

Fats and Sweets are all unhealthy food, and therefore should be eaten in moderation.

This is also why it is on the top of the food pyramid, and occupies only a small space.

Food Guides

This will be filled out very soon!

Please come back next time.
